Summer Sunrise!

Today’s Purple Crumpet Fairy Summer Challenge is Summer Sunrise!

I used my Favorite Summer Color Mani for this one… but it only turned out on 3 of my nails. :( I originally had planned on using the 2 blue nails as my next challenge (Sunshine) but it was a super nail fail. It was so bad I’m not even going to show you! LOL!

I do love how these came out! For the original list of colors on the gradient see my previous post here. I then added Pure Ice Unzip Me , Spoiled Designated Driver, Jordana Mellow Yellow, essie luxeffects  Shine Of The times, LA Colors Art Deco Yellow & Bright Orange.

MSMD Memorial Day Monday

Happy Memorial Day!!!

I found the perfect Monkey See Monkey Do mani for today at The Polished Perfectionist!

I’m always so nervous when I attempt an homage to another polish blogger!! This wasn’t a super fancy or hard design but as we all know those are sometimes the hardest to recreate! Mine isn’t an exact replica… I used different polishes (same color scheme) and I think her little bumps are neater than mine. :(

Make sure you check out the link above because her inspiration for the original manicure is gorgeous!!!

I used Finger Paints Curator’s Crimson and Easel Come, Easel Go!, sally Hansen nailgrowth Miracle White Tip and Pure Ice French Kiss with a top coat of NYC In A New York Minute. I always forget to add the top coat, but be aware unless I say otherwise it’s always NYC’s IANYM! LOL!

I kept thinking I should add a couple stars to this mani, it was so hard to stick to her original design, which is beautiful all on its own… but for Memorial Day or July 04th it would be adorable with the stars! !!

This is what I turned around and saw when I finished my mani tonight! LOL!

Too cute right!?!?

P.S. what do you think of the new look on my blog? I was ready for a change! :)

National Pet Week

Today’s Adventures In Stamping Theme is National Pet Week!

I used Orly Liquid Vinyl, Konad Special White Polish, plates BM04 and S10 for this design.

I couldn’t decide which picture I liked better, even though they are basically the same so I’m  adding them both! LOL!

My thumb is bears, index is lambs, middle is kittens and a fish bone, ring is bunny rabbits and my pinky has pandas (I think). This is the first time I used plate S10… I love it!! All the images stamped really well and they are so stinking adorable!

Favorite Summer Color

Today’s Summer Challenge is Favorite Summer Color. I couldn’t pick just one color so I did a gradient instead! ♥

I started with a base of Sally Hansen nailgrowth Miracle in White Tip then I used Sinful Colors Summer Peach, Essie orange it’s obvious, Hedy’s Ma.nish.ma. Nuclear Pink, Orly Purple Crush and Sinful Colors Dream On for my pinky, ring and thumb.

On my middle and index I used Sinful Colors Why Not, China Glaze Frost Bite, Revlon Top Speed Royal, Maybelline Express Finish Indigo Chic & Zip Fly.

I think they turned out super summery too!!! Here’s the song that ran through my head the whole time I did this mani… Summertime

orange, it’s obvious!

Today’s Summer Challenge is

Orange Freestyle Day

I used essie Orange, it’s obvious!, essie luxeffects Shine Of The Times, nail stickers and orange fimo slices for this mani.

These are the slices I originally picked before I had a plan!

Then I found the flower nail stickers and decided to go super literal with this one so I did Orange Nails with Orange Slices and Orange Blossoms!!! LOL!

I know the flower doesn’t look exactly like and actual orange tree blossom, but I figured with everything else going on it would be OK.

I only used Shine of The Times on my ring finger to really accent the orangey fabulousness of those little slices.

You can see there is a tiny piece of fimo that broke off my last slice… sigh. My clear coat was sooo thick I was afraid to dip my tweezers in there to fish it out!

The best part of doing a nail challenge is that you get to try new things that you maybe wouldn’t have otherwise. In my case I am not a fan of orange polish. I see it on other people and think it’s pretty, but it’s just not very flattering to my coloring. For this very reason I probably wouldn’t have ever tried out this mani.

I’m so glad I did because I found out this color actually doesn’t look so bad on me! I probably won’t wear it very often, but it’s back on the list of OK colors! ;-)

The next challenge is Favorite Summer Color! Can’t wait!!
